Lyrics and book by Book by Oscar Hammerstein, II
Music by Richard Rogers

Richard Rodgers said that Carousel was his favorite out of all his musicals, and according to Time magazine, it was not only the Best Musical of the 20th century, but in it “Rodgers and Hammerstein set the standards for the 20th century musical . . . [featuring] their most beautiful score and the most skillful and affecting example of their musical storytelling."

Don’t miss this story of love’s resilience--even beyond death--expressed in such unforgettable songs as “Soliloquy” (“My Boy Bill”),"If I Loved You," "June Is Bustin' Out All Over," and "You'll Never Walk Alone."

Multiple Awards include New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Musical of 1945–1946, Donaldson Award as Best Play of the 1944–45 Season, 1992 Olivier Award for the Best Revival, 1994 Tony Award as best revival of a musical.

After the original Broadway run, multiple revivals were staged in London and across the United States. A 1956 film starred Gordon McRae and Shirley Jones and a 1967film for television starred Robert Goulet.

This musical runs 2 hours and 10 minutes with a 15-minute intermission
