Anthony to Carrie Chapman Catt and Alice Paul\, from Sojourner Truth to America’s young poet-laureate\, Amanda Gorman. It commemorates the work and achievements of the many\, sung and unsung\, through theatrical vignettes\, storytelling\, song\, and poetry. Historic images\, documents\, and the spoken word will shed light on the long road to equality. The show concludes with a glimpse from then to now\, highlighting how voting rights must not be taken for granted. \n“Ladies Taking Liberty” is directed by Deborah McShane and produced by Suze Peace. \n\nRESERVE SEATING\nPreferred Reserved Seating $17\n1st. 6 rows Orchestra & 2 Rows Center Balcony \nGeneral Reserved Seating $12 \nGroups of 10 or more  $10 \nStudents with ID may present those ID’s to get in Free. \nA $3.00 per ticket Processing charge is added to all purchases and we collect a 6.5% State and County Sales Tax \nDue to the fact that the Historic Athens Theatre does not have an elevator to the balcony. The balcony is not accessible to anyone with a wheelchair or walker. \nAll Patrons with special needs can contact the Box Office at 386-736-1500 for our wheelchair/walker accessible seating.
