SUMMARY:Beautiful Loser: The Bob Seger Tribute
DESCRIPTION:With a career spanning six decades\, Bob Seger has sold more than 75 million records\, making him one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012.  \nIn 2018 he announced his final tour\, so unfortunately none of us can ever see one of his legendary live performances again. \nThat is where BEAUTIFUL LOSER fits in \nWhile this band is made up of 7-10 very talented\, professional musicians with impressive resumes….including former touring members with Jack Bruce\, Todd Rundgren and Alan Parsons Project\, this band was created because simply…..they had Their Bob Seger!  \nKen Hurley IS their Bob Seger…and when you see and hear him he will be your Bob Seger\, too. From Kentucky\, Ken started singing at age 7 when his Mom\, a renowned Southern Gospel singer\, slowly worked him into the family band. A veteran of the South Florida music scene (and of the Marines)\, he earned a reputation as being a soulful singer with a great voice capable of singing anything….and while that is true… it is when he sings what he really loves\, what resonates with him\, that it’s really something special.  \nFortunately for all his bandmates\, and for you\, Bob Seger’s music resonates with him\, and to hear this band with Ken singing…..well\, it is in fact\, something special. \nHere’s what past guests have to say: \n\n\n\n\n“This band is great! Second time we’ve seen them and we enjoyed every moment. Thanks for bringing them here—we look forward to seeing them again.” — Mabel I. \n“Great show! It’s our second year seeing them\, and we’ll be back again next year.” — Tom S. \n“Beautiful Loser was a beautiful winner! Two hours and fifteen minutes of nonstop excellent musicianship and quality vocals.” — Carlos D. \n“Absolutely wonderful performance. Very personal—we even got to talk to them after the show. More than a few times I was lost in their music. Wow!” — Elaine M. \n“It was a 10! One of the best concerts we’ve seen at the Athens—and we’ve seen many!” — Roger B. \n“We rate Beautiful Loser a 9! The vocals were a little muffled at first but improved throughout. The band’s sound was spot on\, and the show lasted over two and a half hours—terrific!” — Joanne L. \n“It was one of our favorite shows. He was so much like Seger. The band was great. I give it a 10—excellent! Also loved the 4 o’clock show. Best time for us older folks.” — Harold G. \n“Great concert\, fun musical performance\, nice venue\, and relaxed vibe. Really enjoyed the 4 pm performance time. We’ll look forward to more of these matinee shows!” — Nina T. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nRESERVED SEATING\nPreferred Reserved Seating $401st. 6 rows Orchestra & 2 Rows Center Balcony \nGeneral Reserved Seating $35 \nA $5.00 per ticket Processing charge is added to all purchases and we collect a 6.5% State and County Sales Tax \nDue to the fact that the Historic Athens Theatre does not have an elevator to the balcony. SUMMARY:Brothers Again\, A Tribute to the Allman Brothers!
DESCRIPTION:A Celebration of the Music of the Allman Brothers Band! \n‘Brothers Again’ is committed to playing the music of ‘The Allman Brothers Band’ with authenticity\, passion and respect. Southern rock is alive and well and authentically performed by Brothers Again! If you’re ready to rock out to your favorite Allman Brothers Band songs\, we’ve got you covered! \nA mutual love for the music of ‘The Allman Brothers Band’ brought the seven members of ‘Brothers Again’ together. One guitarist growing up in the Mississippi Delta in 1969\, listening to them on the only radio station that played their music\, would practice along with their songs\, trying to understand how they developed their wholly unique combination of rock\, blues\, jazz and Texas Swing. Each musician in the band has their own memory of how the ABB played a part in the development of their interest in music. The bond that has developed from many hours of rehearsal is obvious in their performance of each song. \nDon’t just take our word for it — here’s what past guests have said: \n“Absolutely fabulous band! Great sound\, great music.” — Wanda K. \n“It was even more amazing than last year!” — Frank L. \n“Brothers Again were great\, and as usual the Athens Theatre did a nice job.” — Maria S. \n“They were GREAT! Hope they come back again. All the band members were outstanding!” — Jerry P. \n“Loved it! Ten out of ten!” — Denise R. \n“Awesome show! Thank you.” — Robert M. \n“The seven-man band put on a rocking great show!” — Paula H. \n \nRESERVED SEATING \nPreferred Reserved Seating $40\n1st.
