He acquired this title in Memphis Tennessee as recognized by Elvis Presley Enterprises. Ted is  the top Elvis vocal stylist in the world. DESCRIPTION:LUNAFEST is a traveling film festival celebrating\, showcasing and championing women in film.  Over the past 21 years\, LUNAFEST has shone a spotlight on ground breaking new stories and raised over $7 million for women’s causes.  LUNAFEST was the first traveling film festival by women and about women; it opened the door for diverse\, female filmmakers to tell their unique stories. \n\n\n\nThe 2023 season of LUNAFEST® features seven short films with a total running time of 90 minutes. \nWe’re proud to amplify the inspiring short films by this year’s selection of women and gender nonconforming directors. Our featured filmmakers are from all walks of life and range from poets to conservationists\, activists\, and educators. These stories remind us that when we come together\, we all move forward. \n\n\n\nLocally\, LUNAFEST benefits Girls on the Run girls in Volusia County \nGirls on the Run never turns a girl away because of her inability to pay. Our girls receive financial assistance made possible through grants and generous community donations. SUMMARY:Stetson University Jazz Ensemble: A Night of Bee Bop Hits!
DESCRIPTION:Jon Oxford – Director \nThe Stetson University Jazz Ensemble is a major performing ensemble in the School of Music. Performing four concerts per year\, members are chosen by audition from musicians of the School of Music\, plus interested and talented non-music majors. \nThe ensemble (which is primarily an 18-member jazz big band) performs selections ranging from swing-era standards to contemporary originals — encompassing a variety of musical styles. Smaller ensembles are also formed on occasion for concerts and special events. \nBig band music has existed at Stetson University since the late 1930s\, mainly in the form of a dance orchestra. With the increased inclusion of jazz in both secondary and higher education\, the School of Music established the Stetson University Jazz Ensemble in the early 1970s. Over the past several years\, the band has performed at area festivals including the New Smyrna Beach Jazz Festival\, the LYNX Jazz Festival in Orlando\, and the Noble Watts Jazz Festival in DeLand\, in addition to concerts at Flagler Auditorium\, the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center in Belle Glade\, and Disney World. The jazz ensemble also performs on campus for university functions\, in addition to its regularly scheduled fall and spring concerts at the Athens Theatre. \nTickets are on sale now though Stetson University School of Music! \nPURCHASE TICKETS HERE
