When both families gather for one spectacularly awkward dinner\, secrets spill\, chaos erupts\, and the Addams clan is forced to confront love\, change\, and what it really means to be “normal.” \nPresented through special arrangement with Theatrical Rights Worldwide \nRating: PG-13 (dark humor and innuendo)\nRun time: Approximately 2 hours\, including a 15-minute intermission \nBUY TICKETS NOW \nSPECIAL ASL/ENGLISH INTERPRETED PERFORMANCE ON SATURDAY 10/3 at 7:30 PM \nSPECIAL AUDIO DESCRIBED PERFORMANCE ON SUNDAY 10/4 at 2:30 PM \nTO PURCHASE TICKETS IN THE SECTION WITH THE BEST SIGHT LINES TO THE INTERPRETERS\, PLEASE CONTACT THE BOX OFFICE EITHER AT 386-736-1500 OR EMAIL US AT BOXOFFICE@ATHENSDELAND.COM \n  \n\nReserved Seating\nPreferred $38 (Row A-F\, Orchestra & CC-DD Center Balcony) \nAdult $33 – Senior $29\nStudent/Child $12 – Groups of 8 or more $26\nA $5.00 per ticket Processing charge is added to all purchases. \nAs the historic Athens Theatre does not have an elevator\, the balcony is not accessible to anyone with a wheelchair or walker. \nAll Patrons with special needs can contact the Box Office at 386-736-1500 for our wheelchair/walker accessible seating. \nSpecial Box Seat Package \nCatered exclusively by Joe Hearn Events\, The Elusive Grape\, Pat & Toni’s Sweet Things\, and 3 Smart Cookies. \n$500 – Price includes: \n\nUp to 11 seats in the Box Seat and Balcony area\nChoice of Red/White Wine\nCheese Platter\nChocolate Covered Strawberries\nCookies\n\nPlease contact the Box Office at 386-736-1500\, for this Package.\n(a $5 per seat processing fee is added to the cost of these packages)

SUMMARY:Rocky Horror Picture Show with Shadow Cast
DESCRIPTION:Don your leather jacket\, corset\, and fishnet tights—because DeLand Pride and the Absent Friends are bringing the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show back to the Athens Theatre after much “antici…pation.” \n\n\n\nWhether you are experiencing “Rocky” for the first or 100th time (as long as you are over the age of 18) we invite you to come and do “The Time Warp” again. \nThe evening will consist of a pre-show featuring several DeLand Pride drag performances (bring those $ bills for tips!) and the Absent Friends (with emcee Robert Baldwin) with their hysterical Rocky-virgin initiation fun\, the ever-popular 1975 20th Century Fox film\, live shadow cast (in other words\, costumed actors portraying the movie while it is being screened above)\, dancing\, and audience participation (with call backs and prop bags). \nThe film’s plot revolves around a newly engaged and admittedly naïve couple (Brad and Janet) who get stranded on the side of the road during a stormy night and seek refuge in the nearby castle of a strange (yet alluring) Dr. Frank-N-Furter. From there the story becomes increasingly more ridiculous\, raunchy\, and above all\, fun. \nTo make the show more accessible\, we have moved the “midnight showing” up to 8:00 p.m.\, opening with all the “normal” fun frivolity of welcomes\, initiating the “Rocky Virgins\,” and giving patrons a chance to purchase bags filled with audience participation props. \nThe audience is encouraged to come in costume\, sing along with the songs\, dance the dances\, and utilize their approved audience participation props. \nAny unapproved props will be confiscated at the door. \nFl state law requires us to state that this event is an 18 and over event only. Individuals under the age of 18 will not be admitted.  A Valid ID will be necessary for entry.  \n\nReserved Seating\nGeneral Seating (1st come\, 1st serve) $25 \nAudience Participation Prop Bags  $15.00 (Purchase these in advance and make sure to bring your receipt to the show!) \nA $5.00 per ticket processing charge is added to all purchases. \nDue to the fact that the Historic Athens Theatre does not have an elevator to the balcony.
