DESCRIPTION:Since 2016\, brothers Zachary and Dylan Zmed along with their partner and drummer Burleigh Drummond\, have celebrated the pivotal music and history of The Everly Brothers legacy with enthusiastic crowds all across the US and overseas in prestigious venues. The Zmed Brothers say\, “ The music of the 50’s and 60’s is nostalgic for us\, our parents raised us all on it\, and we feel that Don and Phil’s contribution is greatly overlooked\, especially by younger generations. Our aim is not to impersonate but to do our best at honoring their brotherly legacy through our own spirits by representing the aesthetics of their iconic sound and by exploring the important role they played in pioneering the rock n’ roll movement\, all while having a little fun sharing our own personal story\,” and they do just that. Hooker)\, and a mother (Barbara) as a second grade teacher in a suburb of Los Angeles\, the Zmed Brothers continuously strive to pay homage to their personal roots by always infusing an instinctual blend of entertainment (a la Smothers Brothers) and contextual education in their performance. \nThe Everly brothers career lasted over half a century\, they recorded 21 studio albums\, sold more than 60 million records worldwide\, had over 30 billboard top -100 singles\, which still to this day is the record for most billboard charting hits of any sibling rock duo ever\, they received numerous accolades in their later career\, and influenced countless legendary artist that came after them including The Beatles\, Simon and Garfunkel\, The Beach Boys\, The Rolling Stones\, Bob Dylan\, The Bee Gees…and the list goes on. I’ve been coming to see The Long Run every year since 2016. I even brought four friends this time\, and they were completely blown away. Easily the best tribute band touring right now.” – Linda M. \n“We’ve seen a lot of tribute shows\, but this was hands-down the best. My wife and I gave it a 10 without hesitation. We’ll be first in line if they come back!” – Marcus T. \n“The Long Run brought back so many memories. Their performance was polished\, powerful\, and full of heart. It was like stepping into a real Eagles concert.” – Brenda S. \n“An outstanding show in every way. This was our second time at the Athens and both the theatre and the band delivered an unforgettable night. Can’t wait to come back.” – Tom R. \n“This was BY FAR THE BEST CONCERT we have been to there! The way the band interacted with each other AND the audience was OUTSTANDING. AND the fact that they actually came outside in the Florida humidity to greet and mingle with the crowd was such a plus! WE WILL DEFINITELY be back to see them again and get the box seats again for this outstanding performance!” — Martin G. \n“We come every year to see them – LOVE every minute of the show! If you closed your eyes\, you’d think they were the real Eagles! Thank you for continuing to schedule them! Maybe twice a year?!” — Katherine S. \n\nRESERVE SEATING\nPreferred Reserved Seating $42\n1st. 6 rows Orchestra & 2 Rows Center Balcony \nGeneral Reserved Seating $37 \nA $5.00 per ticket Processing charge is added to all purchases and we collect a 6.5% State and County Sales Tax \nDue to the fact that the Historic Athens Theatre does not have an elevator to the balcony.
