DESCRIPTION:Rising 7th – 12th Grade | Rehearsals 9am – 4pm | $450     \n \nProduction Camp \nREHEARSALS: \n\nJune 12 – 16\, 9am – 4pm\nJune 19 – 23\, 9am – 4pm\nJune 26 – 29\, 9am – 4pm\n\nPERFORMANCES: \n\nFriday\, June 30th at 7pm\nSaturday\, July 1st at 7pm\nSunday\, July 2nd at 2:30pm\n\nStudents will put on a fully-staged production of the musical\, FOOTLOOSE: YOUTH EDITION.\nOur production camps are here to give your young artist an opportunity to perform a fully-staged show. During camp\, students will experience the audition process\, learn choreography\, music\, lines\, and more while working with a script and rehearsing for the production. It will end with three performances in the historic Athens Theatre. \nSYNOPSIS:\nBased on the 1984 film\, Footloose. \nBlame it on the music! Protect our children! Ren and his mother move to the small town of Bomont after his father abandons them. Upon arriving\, Ren finds himself at odds with most of the town\, including Reverend Shaw Moore. The Reverend has convinced the town to outlaw dancing\, which Ren finds unbelievable. With the help of Ariel – the Reverend’s daughter – and his new friend Willard\, Ren convinces the Reverend to let the teenagers dance\, and in the process helps the town to heal from a tragedy that affected them all. \nPresented through special arrangement with Concord Theatricals.
