CLASS IS HELD WEEKLY ON THURSDAYS, SEPTEMBER 10 – DECEMBER 10 (NO CLASS NOVEMBER 26)
END OF SEMESTER PERFORMANCE WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 15TH AT 7:00PM WITH A MANDATORY REHEARSAL ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 14TH.
This class is designed for middle and high school students who are ready to strengthen their technical foundation while growing as confident, versatile performers. Students will refine movement quality, musicality, and ensemble awareness through techniques found in jazz, ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, musical theatre, and other commercial dance styles. Dancers will build on rhythm, alignment, performance quality, and dance terminology while exploring choreography, formations and transitions, partnering concepts, improvisation, storytelling through movement, and stylistic interpretation. This class provides a well-rounded blend of intermediate technique, creative expression, and performance skills, encouraging students to develop both as individual artists and collaborative ensemble members.
