Registration and Payment
Please follow the steps below to register and make your payment. BOTH steps must be completed in order to confirm your child’s place in camp.
REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event you need to cancel your child’s enrollment for whatever reason:
- ATYA will only refund your tuition (minus a $25 administrative fee) if cancellation is received at least 21 days prior to the start date of camp.
- If your cancellation is received 14 – 20 days prior to the start date of camp, ATYA will refund 50% of your tuition minus a $25 administrative fee.
- Refunds or credits will not be given to cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the start date of camp.
All cancellation requests must be sent in writing to Education@AthensDeLand.com.
The Athens Theatre reserves the right to alter or cancel scheduled programs as necessary.
The deadline to apply for Financial Aid is June 1st, 2024. One Application per child required.
- A limited number of partial scholarships may be available per camp.
- All students may apply for a maximum of 4 camps.
- You are not guaranteed financial aid for all camps applied for.
- Scholarships are awarded no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of camp based on availability and funding.
If your child is selected to receive a scholarship for Summer Camp 2024 at the Athens Theatre Youth Academy:
- You will receive an email from Angelyn@AthensDeland.com which will require your response within 48 hours from the time communication is sent.
- If we do not receive your response within the required timeframe, your child’s scholarship will be revoked and given to another student. You will not be eligible to apply in the future.
- Your child’s place in camp will not be confirmed until both registration and your share of tuition are received.
- Once you have accepted your child’s scholarship, you may not make any changes or amendments to their enrollment.
- Your child’s place in camp will not be held indefinitely.

Yes. Please send a non-perishable lunch and snacks with your child.
A microwave and a refrigerator will not be available.
Yes. All instructors have background checks. They have been cleared and are wonderful teachers.
ATYA provides a limited number of scholarships each calendar year. Scholarships are not guaranteed. Please click “Financial Aid” to learn more.
If your child becomes sick during camp hours, you will be notified immediately to pick up your child. Students must be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to camp. Basic first aid, such as adhesive bandages and ice packs, are available. Staff members will not administer pain relievers or any other medications to children without parental consent.
We offer a 10% discount when registering more than one student from the same family for the same week of camp
No. We do not have a need for parent volunteers at this time.
Yes. All camps conclude with a Shareformance featuring content the students learned during their week of camp. Shareformances are held on the last day of camp. All are welcome to attend.
Yes. Students will learn content that is socially, emotionally, and developmentally appropriate for their age group.
Tuition is due at time of registration. In the event a camp reaches capacity and
a waitlist has formed, your child will risk losing their place in that camp unless the balance has been paid in full.
If that family does not respond within 24 hours, their spot will be considered forfeit, and the next family on the list will be contacted.
Each camp will have 2 – 3 instructors. All instructors go through safety training prior to the start of camp.
All students should wear comfortable clothing they can move in. Athletic wear such as shorts and t-shirts is recommended. All students are required to wear closed toed sneakers or dance shoes. No dresses, skirts, slip on shoes, sandals, flip flops, or crocs.
All campers will receive ONE (1) Athens Youth Academy T-Shirt per year of enrollment.
No. We are unable to provide before or after care for our program at this time.

No. We do not allow children younger than the grades advertised to enroll in a camp. Rising Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by September 1, 2024 to enroll.
Yes. If a child is older than the grade advertised, they can send a request to our Youth Academy Manager. Requests are not guaranteed.
YES! All camps advertised up to rising grade 12 INCLUDE graduating seniors of the current year.
Yes. In the event a camp reaches capacity, we open a waitlist. If a spot becomes available in a camp, it is offered to the first family on the waitlist. Families contacted from the waitlist have 24 hours to register and pay their tuition in full. If that family does not respond within 24 hours, their spot of forfeit, and the next family on the list will be contacted.
There is no guarantee a spot will become available in your child’s camp of choice.
Space in camp may become available anytime between now and the day before camp starts.
